Despite his strained relationship with Zinedine Zidane, Gareth Bale is set to see out the final two years on his contract at Real Madrid on wages of £650,000-a-week.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a positive first five years in La Liga but fans turned on him after a disappointing 2018/19 season, in which he managed only 14 goals across 42 appearances in all competitions.
Zinedine Zidane then publicly announced that the club wanted Bale to leave, which received a stern backlash from the player’s agent Jonathan Barnett.
In a fresh update over his future, it seems that Zidane will need to put his differences with Bale to one side, with the former Tottenham forward set to see out two further seasons with Los Blancos.
