Good Morning Britain was halted on Tuesday, October 15, as Ranvir Singh delivered some breaking news. While Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were at the helm of the show, they handed over to Ranvir, who interrupted her bulletin with an important update.
Cutting through her segment, Ranvir announced: "Next we have some breaking news for you in the last few minutes. Official figures have been released which show that the country's job market is weakening." In a concerning economic update, she revealed to GMB viewers, "This is because the rate at which workers salary's are rising has slowed down to a growth rate of 4.9%.
That's not the only unwelcome news. The amount of people working on UK payrolls has fallen, down 35,000, between July and August." The significant economic announcement was part of a packed edition of the morning programme which featured Susanna and Richard discussing with Keala Settle about her latest theatrical venture Fly More Than You Fall, also starring Robyn Rose-Li and Cavin Cornwall, which portrays a narrative centered around a daughter facing her mother's terminal cancer journey.
In other segments of the show, entertainment correspondent Scarlette Douglas filling in for Richard Arnold had the pleasure of introducing the legendary purple dinosaur Barney to the set ahead of his new television adventure, Barney's World, reports the Mirror.
