Richard Madeley had to 'keep mouth shut' during 'most difficult time' of daughter Chloe's life
ok.co.ukTelevision favourite Richard Madeley, known for This Morning and Good Morning Britain, appearing on the former alongside his wife Judy Finnigan, has admitted he had to 'keep his mouth shut' during the most difficult time of his daughter, Chloe's, life.
Reflecting on the tribulations of parenting, Richard, who also shares a son named Jack with Judy, told The Times: "I found Chloe's early twenties the most difficult time, when she was moving from one relationship to the next," and disclosed, "Some [relationships] were clearly not going to work - one of the great gifts of good parenting is knowing when to keep your mouth shut, but I was vigilant." Despite 37-year-old Chloe's recent breakup with husband James Haskell, Richard noted that he was overjoyed when she found love with the rugby player: "I wanted her to have the kind of stability she finally found with James." Before announcing her split from James, whom she shares daughter Bodhi with and was married to for five years, Chloe let viewers into her dynamic family life, career, and motherhood journey through ITV's At Home With the Madeleys, also featuring her famous folks as the doting grandparents.
Recently opening up about their split, which came just after their TV show had aired, Chloe explained that she and James still have a healthy co-parenting relationship.
