Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is considering an offer to take over as national coach of the Austria national team.
Sources say the Austrian football association is 'very keen' to hire Rangnick and his consultancy role would not be impacted.
United have been described as 'very accommodating', having denied reports at the start of the month the Austrian FA had approached Rangnick. Rangnick, 63, suggested on Wednesday he would stay in Manchester next season and fulfil his two-year consultancy role after his interim period ends.
