Manchester United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick was blocked in his attempts to sign a forward in the January transfer window.
Ahead of the Reds' trip to Brighton and Hove Albion, Rangnick admitted that he was told he would not be able to make any move to improve United's situation in the winter.
Speaking about who he would have brought in, the German said: "There were a few. "[Luis] Diaz, who is now at Liverpool, [Julian] Alvarez, who will be at Manchester City in the summer, [Dusan] Vlahovic, who at the time was still with Fiorentina.
