Terry Pendry, the stud groom of Queen Elizabeth II, has shared a humorous anecdote about the late monarch's sense of humour, involving a joke she told him about Mother Superior, cows and whisky.In an episode of the Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast, Mr Pendry recounted a day when he was riding with the Queen on her pony Emma.
While passing by Frogmore Cottage and a field of cows, the Queen began to tell him the joke.Mr Pendry also emphasised that the late Queen "loved a good joke" and was a "brilliant mimic".
This comes as the UK commemorates two years since the passing of the beloved monarch on September 8th 2022.Recounting the joke, he said: "Mother Superior, she's dying.
All the nuns gathered around the bed and one nun said, 'We must offer Mother Superior a fresh glass of water'. So they duly did that and Mother Superior dismissed it and said, 'Take it away I don't want that'. "So they went a little bit further one nun said, 'I know, let's capture our very best cow and we'll milk her and offer mother superior a fresh glass of milk.
