Queen and Prince Philip receive coronavirus vaccinations at Windsor Castle

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh have today received the Covid-19 vaccination, Buckingham Palace has announced. The jabs were administered to the couple by a Household Doctor at Windsor Castle, a royal source confirmed today.

The monarch decided to go public to prevent further speculation as to whether she was going to have the vaccine. The become the second and third royals to go public after Queen Margrethe of Denmark announced earlier this week that has received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, becoming the first European royal to publicly acknowledge being vaccinated.
