pubs and restaurants in Aberdeen have been ordered to close by 5pm today by Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as she announced the city is to go back into lockdown after a fresh spike in coronavirus cases.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, speaking at the coronavirus briefing in Edinburgh, addressed the cluster in Aberdeen, where she said that 54 cases have been reported as of Wednesday.Nicola Sturgeon said that 191 contacts have been traced in relation to the cluster.She said that the rise in cases has contributed to a greater fear their was a "significant outbreak" in the city.According to the First Minister, more than 20 other pubs and restaurants are involved in the cluster.The First Minister added legislation will be passed.
