Members of the public are being invited to enjoy the gardens fit for royals at Buckingham Palace. And for the first time ever - people can even have a picnic on the Queen's lawn in the once in a lifetime experience.
The Royal Family publicised the invitation on Twitter on Saturday afternoon as England and Wales marked the May Bank Holiday long weekend.
The palace had announced the offer in April after a year of closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tweet reads: "For the first time, this summer members of the public are invited to picnic on the Buckingham Palace lawn and enjoy the garden in all its splendour."
