Officers were called to The Railway in Bromley Cross at around 7.30am this morning on Wednesday (June 16). GMP say a sexual assault is believed to have happened nearby.
Crime scene investigators were called to the area and the Chapeltown Road pub was cordoned off. Officers were also seen carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , Mike Hales, owner of The Railway, said the pub had to close earlier today while police carried out checks.
