Kevin Hart
Kevin Darnell Hart (born July 6, 1979) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and producer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hart began his career by winning several amateur comedy competitions at clubs throughout New England, culminating in his first real break in 2001 when he was cast by Judd Apatow for a recurring role on the TV series Undeclared. The series lasted only one season, but he soon landed other roles in films such as Paper Soldiers (2002), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Soul Plane (2004), In the Mix (2005), and Little Fockers (2010).

deadline.comFollowing the renewal of American High‘s first-look deal with Hulu Originals, the streamer has pre-bought rights to Prom Dates, a new coming-of-age comedy from American High and Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat.
News of the project comes following the August debut of Hulu and American High’s most recent feature collaboration, the Oz Rodriguez coming-of-age comedy Miguel Wants to Fight.
Helmed by veteran TV director Kim O. Nguyen (Never Have I Ever, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Prom Dates follows best friends Jess and Hannah, who made a pact at 13 to have the perfect senior prom.
Despite the impending changes that college will bring over the next four years, the two are committed to honoring their prom pact.
