Princess Maria Galitzine has died from a cardiac aneurysm just days before the royal turned 32. The Austrian royal tragically leave behind a two-year-old son and her husband.

She was a descendant of the country's last Emperor, Karl of Austria who passed away 98-years-ago. The princess, also known as Maria Singh died suddenly on May 4, less than a week before her 32nd birthday.

She had been living in Houston with her husband, Rishi Singh and their son Maxim. The tragic news was confirmed in an obituary published by The Houston Chronicle - Maxim was described as "the apple of her eye".

Maxim was born shortly before Maria married Rishi in February 2018. Maria was laid to rest last week in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston.
