Princess Anne, the younger sister of King Charles and a well-loved member of the Royal family, is currently recuperating in hospital following an incident at her Gloucestershire home.
The Princess Royal, 73, is renowned for being one of the hardest working royals. She is wedded to ex-Royal Navy officer Sir Tim Laurence, whom she married in 1992.
However, her two biological offspring - Peter Phillips, 46, and Zara Tindall, 43 - are from her first marriage to Mark Phillips, 75, a gold-medal-winning Olympic equestrian.
Anne and Phillips tied the knot in 1973 after meeting five years prior. Despite their relationship being under strain, they separated in 1989.Anne had no plans to divorce, but the situation changed in 1991 when it was revealed that Phillips had fathered a child with a New Zealand art teacher.
