Rutherglen's newly elected MP, Michael Shanks, been appointed as a minister in Keir Starmer’s Labour government.The new appointment was authorised by King Charles yesterday in the wake of Labour's overwhelming victory in the General Election last week - in what turned out to be the worst result in Conservative history.During which Michael Shanks won the Rutherglen constituency with a commanding majority of 8767 votes over the SNP's Katy Loudon.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
