Prince Harry’s book Spare was a “mistake” that “considerably worsened” his relationship with brother Prince William, a royal expert has said.
Commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, speaking exclusively to OK!, said there was a “very big rift in the Royal Family” following the publication of the Duke of Sussex’s explosive memoir.
He added The Firm “simply can’t trust” the Sussexes now - as anything said to them could be made public. Harry’s book brought a fresh round of attacks on the Royal Family when it was released in January - just weeks after the couple’s Netflix documentary had levelled a host of damning accusations against the monarchy.
Among the most explosive allegations in Spare was one claim that William attacked Harry in a row over Meghan Markle, 41. PR consultant Mr Fitzwilliams, talking about the relationship between William, 40, and Harry, 38, told us: “The problem, obviously, is that there's a very big rift in the Royal Family, it's deeply public. “As far as we know, there isn't any communication between William and Harry and Meghan, and you can see why, because William is undoubtedly shocked by what was in Spare. “Also, there's the problem that’s obvious, that anything said to the Sussexes could find its way into the media.
