The revelation came during the explosive tell-all interview with the US presenter in which Harry confessed he thought Charles would be more understanding after he had been through something similar when Princess Diana died.
While Harry said the pair are now back on speaking terms he admits that there is "a lot to work through" before their relationship is fixed, claiming "a lot of hurt has happened".
However, healing the relationship is something he wants to do after saying he will "always love" his dad. Harry went on to say that it was "a priority"
