Prince Harry has been dealt another fresh blow as Buckingham Palace are reportedly trying to remove him from his role as Counsellor of State. The 37 year old is currently in a battle over security he receives when in the UK – threatening to sue the British government if he is not allowed royal protection when he visits his home country.

Harry waived his rights to police protection when he and wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior members of the Royal family in 2020.

But Buckingham Palace officials are now said to be considering how he could be removed from the role, which means he could be called upon to take the place of The Queen if she were unable to carry out her duties because of illness or absence abroad.
