Prince Harry dealt big blow just hours before Invictus speech as latest scheme in the US fails

Prince Harry's latest plot in the US appears to have been foiled while the duke is preparing for his Invictus Games speech after landing in the UK yesterday.

The 39-year-old prince had applied for a trademark in the United States for his charity Sentebale which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.

The charity aims to assist children and adolescents in Lesotho and Botswana, including those affected by HIV/AIDs, offering support services that cover healthcare, life skills, education, advocacy, vocational training and climate resilience.According to royal commentator Richard Eden in the Daily Mail, the prince's attempt has "fallen into trademark difficulties in the USA thwarting, for now at least, plans to expand its operations in America".Harry's plan was to secure the trademark for Sentebale under several categories, the Express reports.Among those were 'mental healthcare services' and 'psychological and mental health counselling services', alongside 'provision of immunizations', 'campaigning' and 'organising of conferences, seminars, courses, workshops and other events', not to mention 'production of audio and/or video recordings'.

However, the US Patent and Trademark Office, despite acknowledging there are "no conflicting [trade] marks", has disapproved the application.
