However, this could prove to be burdensome for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to a royal expert.“If the invitation becomes a real invitation – and it is almost certainly to do that — both Harry and Meghan will find themselves in a very difficult position,” expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror recently.
Harry, 39, and Markle, 42, moved to Montecito, Calif. in 2020 after opting to break away from the Firm.Quinn noted that the couple is “obsessed with their public image and will be aware that it will look really good if they swallow their pride and came back to the UK.”He added that it will be “difficult” for the former “Suits” star to humble herself and not “appear to be holding a grudge” if she ever meets Prince William and Kate Middleton at Balmoral.
The foursome have had a contentious relationship in recent years, with Harry making several claims in his 2023 memoir “Spare” about his family.“Meghan still wants that apology from William and King Charles and Kate,” he added.
