An alleged Chinese spy, who reportedly had close connections with Prince Andrew, is said to have known the ins and outs of his Royal Lodge residence without drawing attention.This revelation surfaced following the release of photographs showing the Duke of York, aged 64, at a gathering with the supposed spy, identified only as H6, a former government employee.The images have sparked controversy since H6 has been barred from entering the UK after being tagged as an operative by Tory ex-Home Secretary Suella Braverman in July 2023 for "deceptive activity" on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.
Conservative former security minister Tom Tugendhat expressed concerns over the potential influence the alleged agent might have had on the royal.
The news about the alleged spy's knowledge of discreet entry and exit strategies at Andrew's home emerged from a letter written by Andrew's chief adviser Dominic Hampshire to the Chinese individual.
Despite MI5 discovering the correspondence on the alleged spy's phone back in 2020, Mr Hampshire is said to have continued his employment under Prince Andrew.The letter stated: "I hope that it is clear to you where you sit with my principal (Andrew) and indeed his family.
