Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Prince Andrew 'furious' and 'refusing to socialise' with William and Charles in fresh royal rift

Another royal rift is reportedly ongoing, with Prince Andrew allegedly refusing to speak to his brother Charles and nephew William, after the pair blocked his so-called ‘comeback’ plans.

Andrew, 62, has taken a backseat from public life since sexual assault allegations against him resurfaced following the death of his former friend, peadophile Jeffrey Epstein, in 2019.The Duke of York has always vehemently denied the accusation brought against him by Virginia Giuffre.

He had been due to face a civil trial over the matter earlier this year, but proceedings were halted when an out of court settlement involving an undisclosed sum of money was reached.

However, the damage to the Duke’s position in the Royal family had already been done, with the Queen stripping him of all military titles and the right to use HRH in January this year.
