Prince Andrew is reportedly set to remain at Royal Lodge even after King Charles has stopped private funding for his hefty security detail.

Insiders have revealed to the Express that the Duke of York won't be using taxpayer money to fund his security at Royal Lodge, a stance that will persist once his private security team departs in October.

A source disclosed to the publication that Prince Andrew has chosen a "mobile security" solution to cut down on costs while still ensuring the property is well-protected. "The only reason the private security team has been discontinued is due to costs," the insider explained. "There was a proposal put forward for when this contract comes to an end in October but it was too high." The conversation shifted towards employing a mobile security team which guarantees that Royal Lodge remains safeguarded with continuous patrols and an on-call team.The source continued: ""A new security system will also be fitted inside the property.The costs are much lower and they will not be covered by the taxpayer. "The Windsor estate also has a number of other royal residences and there is a constant police presence in the area.
