West Ham will head the list for teams opting against using the home and away points-per-game plan to decide how the Premier League table pans out.

David Moyes’ team would be the biggest losers from that potential solution to finishing the 2019/20 campaign as it would see them drop into the bottom three and suffer relegation.

The proposal has been mooted as a method of sorting League One and League Two. The two lower levels of the Football League appear likely to be cut short next week as a knock-on effect of the coronavirus.

Non-league football has already been cancelled for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. And as things stand, the biggest hope is that the Premier League and Championship seasons can be completed on the pitch.
