Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxPregnant women who have developed Covid antibodies after contracting coronavirus can pass them onto their babies, a study has found.A study of more than 1400 mothers and babies showed that, out of 83 women who had previously been infected with Covid-19, 72 babies had developed antibodies through the placenta.The study, carried out by the Journal of the American Medical Association's Paediatrics, showed that babies born to Covid-19 positive mums didn't develop an infection.Their report reads: "Our findings demonstrate the potential for maternally derived SARS-CoV-2 specific antibodies to provide neonatal protection from coronavirus.
