Deontay Wilder's former trainer has rubbished the former heavyweight world champion's theory that he spiked his water during his defeat by Tyson Fury.
Wilder was stopped in the seventh round of his rematch with Fury 12 months ago when coach Mark Breland threw in the towel. But having suffered his first professional defeat, Wilder sacked Breland from his team and spouted forth with a number of ludicrous excuses.
He claimed his walk-in costume had been too heavy and affected his movement before claiming Fury had loaded his gloves. Wilder then alleged Breland had spiked his water during the sequel in Las Vegas.
