Coronavirus may have put the kibosh on their TV wedding, but Cupid was always going to beat Covid once this love story unfolded.
Ally Acklan and Paul Todd were due to get hitched on Married At First Sight – where carefully matched couples meet for the very first time on their big day.
But the weekend they were due to walk up the aisle at a swanky manor house, the UK headed for lockdown. The wedding was off and producers couldn’t guarantee the couple would be part of the next Channel 4 series – which meant they might never meet at all.
Ally, 35, and Paul, 33, took matters into their own hands and DID meet. And almost a year on they are living together, expecting a baby – and planning to marry once things get back to normal.
