Police have cordoned off a terraced house on Lidiard Street, in Crumpsall, as part of an investigation into the disappearance of Isabella Skelton, nee McDowall.

Isabella - known as Izzy - left the family home on June 6, 1969 and never returned. She was 35 years old at the time of her disappearance and would now be 87-years-old.

Her daughter, Linda Chapman, has never given up hope that she will find her mum. Last summer detectives released a special computer generated image to show how Isabella might look today.
