Mobile phone footage has captured the moment police swooped after a stabbing outside a pub in Hyde on Thursday (May 18). Officers were called to the White Lion pub, on Market Place in Hyde at around 4pm to reports of a suspected stabbing, from which a man was rushed to hospital for treatment.
It was later confirmed that a man was arrested at the scene and has been taken into custody for further questioning. Moments later, with a number of police vehicles pictured at the scene outside the pub, on the corner of Clarendon Street, the same man is taken away by officers into the back of a police van.
Following the incident, a police cordon was erected outside the pub as investigations into the attack took place. The nature of the injuries sustained by the victim have not yet been confirmed but he was taken to hospital for treatment and is understood to be in a stable condition.
