Police release CCTV after man left with fractured skull and broken jaw in savage attack

The victim, a man in his 30s, was waiting for a taxi on Newport Street, Bolton, at around 4pm on Wednesday, February 17, when he was approached by two unknown attackers.

The two men - thought to be in their 20s - walked up to the victim and one of them asked him for a cigarette. But, when he refused, one of the attackers ran at him and kicked him.

The two men then viciously assaulted the victim for around 30 seconds, repeatedly punching and kicking him before running from the scene.
