A Scots family claim their house was raided by police and their 20-year-old son was handcuffed before officers realised they had made a mistake.

The Wieckowski family, who live on Cowan Terrace in Penicuik, had their front door broken down by officers at 9.30am on Tuesday, September 12.

Police said they were executing a search warrant on the property but the family living there said officers were mistaken and had the wrong people.

Dad Marcin Wieckowski says one of his sons, 20, was left "shaking" after being handcuffed for "almost an hour", Edinburgh Live reports.Marcin said: "It was about 9.30am in the morning, and around 20 officers and three big vans showed up to raid our house. “They totally broke our door and left the pieces. “They put my 20-year-old son in handcuffs before they realised they had made a mistake.
