Two people who were arrested after a fatal crash near Manchester city centre have been released on bail, police have confirmed.
The horror crash happened on Water Street at around 2.30am on Friday, July 5.Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
Detectives believe that two vehicles were travelling on the A57 when at the same time, the pedestrian was crossing the eastbound carriageway.
Enquiries suggest the first vehicle hit the pedestrian and fled the scene. The second vehicle then also hit the victim who was lying injured in the road.
