Officers in Hamilton are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was seriously assaulted on a public footpath in Hamilton.Between the hours of 8 and 9pm Saturday, Apri 18, a 36-year-old man was on a footpath at Hillside Crescent at its junction with Hillside Lane, when he was approached by a man and seriously assaulted.
The man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he is receiving treatment for serious facial injuries.The suspect is white, in his 30s and wearing dark coloured clothing.Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and will be checking CCTV from in and around surrounding streets for any further information which could assist police enquiries.Detective Constable Andrew Sinclair said: “I am appealing
