Jake Davison, 22, went “berserk” in the Keyham area of the city, storming a property and killing a woman known to him on Biddick Drive around 6pm on Thursday, August 12.
He then went outside and killed the child and a male relative of hers, Devon and Cornwall Police Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer said.Davison, who had a firearms licence, shot another man and a woman as he moved down the street, who are now being treated in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
