Piers Morgan tests negative for coronavirus and gives update on GMB return

mirror.co.ukPiers Morgan has tested negative for coronavirus after coming down with symptoms over the weekend. The former newspaper editor, 55, took a day off work at Good Morning Britain as a "precaution" and managed to get tested for Covid-19.
He has now had the results back, and shared the update with his Twitter followers. He posted: "My COVID-19 test was negative.
I was advised to take the test by my doctor after developing possible coronavirus symptoms, and was entitled to do so as a Govt-designated essential worker. "I'll be back on @GMB as soon as my doctor advises I'm OK to return to work," he added.
On Sunday, Piers told fans he'd have to take a step back from GMB after suffering mild symptoms and was awaiting the result of a test.
