Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 55, quit the ITV show after sparking 41,000 Ofcom complaints with his comments made about Meghan Markle.The journalist had presented the show alongside Susanna Reid for over five years.Taking to Twitter today, he asked the Society of Editors to remove his nomination for Columnist of the Year.He wrote in view of his 7.8 million followers: “I’ve been nominated in @EditorsUK awards as Columnist of the Year.“Obviously, some deranged wokie is now going to make a fuss about this & demand I be cancelled from the shortlist, to make a name for themselves.“So before they do, I am cancelling myself.
