Piers Morgan has praised an 'inspirational' news anchor who bravely announced live on-air that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Christiane Amanpour, who is the chief anchor for CNN, revealed earlier on today's show that she had undergone major surgery and is set to face months of chemotherapy.
It came after a whirlwind four weeks during which time doctors informed the reporter that she had ovarian cancer. However, the 63-year-old journalist was remaining optimistic and went on to urge others to listen to their bodies and not allow their medical worries to be dismissed.
