The Good Morning Britain host shared a screenshot from the chat, showing sons Spencer and Albert with their pet pooch Conor.
Piers, who turned 55 last weekend, could be seen smiling away in the corner of the screen, delighted to chat with his sons during the quarantine.
Making light of his sons' facial hair, Piers quipped: "Conor definitely wins the Quarantine FaceTime facial hair contest." While most of Piers' 926,000 followers were chuffed to see the sweet family moment pop up on their feed, others were distracted by his sons' appearances.
