Photo released after person injured during dog-on-dog attack

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a dog-on-dog attack which left one person injured. Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to reports of a dog attack on City Road, between Pemberton and Kitt Green, in Wigan.

According to GMP, the incident reportedly involved two dogs. The owner of one of the dogs suffered injuries during the course of the incident.

The attack took place last Saturday, January 18. GMP has this morning (January 26) issued a photo, showing a potential key witness for the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image is urged to come forward. A spokesperson for GMP Wigan and Leigh said: "On January 18, 2025, in the area of City Road, Wigan, we received reports of a dog on dog attack which has resulted in injuries caused to one of the dog owners. "We would like to speak with the male pictured to assist with our enquiries.
