Two CCTV images issued after woman, 18, seriously injured in early hours attack

Detectives have released two CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after a young woman was attacked in Manchester city centre.

Police say the 18-year-old woman suffered serious injuries to her face from the 'disturbance' on Peter Street. Her injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening, Greater Manchester Police says.

The force has today (February 11) issued an appeal for help tracing a potential key witness as part of its investigation into the attack, which took place at around 2am on Sunday, January 19.

A GMP City Centre spokesperson said: "Detectives continue to investigate a disturbance on Peter Street in Manchester city centre after numerous reports from members of the public at around 2am on January 19, 2025.
