Phillip announced his exit from This Morning last week, with the star leaving the show with immediate effect after 21 years on the programme.
His decision to step down came after reports that he and his co-presenter Holly Willoughby were feuding with one another. While he’s no longer on This Morning, Phillip isn’t leaving television altogether as he’s hosting The British Soap Awards on Saturday 3 June.The highly anticipated affair will then be aired on TV three days later.
This year's awards are taking place at The Lowry in Salford, Manchester – a short walk away from the famous Coronation Street set.
