Phillip Schofield's alleged attempts to undermine Holly Willoughby have been unsuccessful, a source has revealed.The tension between the former co-hosts of This Morning escalated following Phillip's unexpected exit from the show in May 2023, after he confessed to having an "unwise but not illegal" relationship with a younger male colleague.

Despite being away from our screens for 16 months, Phillip made his comeback on Channel 5's Cast Away last month, which sparked its own set of controversies.

Holly had previously expressed her distress over Phillip's departure from This Morning, telling viewers she felt "shaken, troubled, let down," and "worried".
