Arsenal legend Lee Dixon believes a lack of leadership within the current side is not helping “petulant” youngster Matteo Guendouzi.
The midfielder again missed out on a place in the 20-man squad for Arsenal ’s FA Cup win over Sheffield United after being dropped for Thursday’s Premier League game against Southampton.
Though Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta put the initial decision down to “player management”, it came after Guendouzi controversially grabbed Brighton striker Neal Maupay by the throat at full-time in their defeat to the Seagulls.
