FLEETWOOD Mac co-founder Peter Green has died aged 73. His family said the music legend passed away peacefully in his sleep in a statement through solicitors.
The statement from Swan Turton solicitors said: "It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Green announce his death this weekend, peacefully in his sleep. "A further statement will be provided in the coming days".
Peter was from Bethnal Green, East London and was a blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. He co-founded Fleetwood Mac with drummer Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer on guitar in 1967 - and performed as a British blues band.
Peter famously wrote one of the band's biggest hits "Albatross". The band's other early hits include "Oh Well" and Man of the World".
