Darius Campbell Danesh died from "inhalation of chloroethane", the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed.The singer and actor was found dead in his US apartment, in Rochester, Minnesota, last month at the age of 41.Autopsy documents obtained by the PA news agency listed “toxic effects of chloroethane” as well as "suffocation" as having contributed to his death.READ MORE: Darius Campbell Danesh 'weeks away from Pop Idol comeback' before tragic death aged 41The death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner.A statement released by Darius' family previously said local police had found "no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances".The Scottish singer-songwriter appeared on the first Pop Idol, which was won by Will Young, as well as Popstars.After Pop Idol, Darius turned down Simon Cowell’s offer of a record deal and signed with producer Steve Lillywhite, whose credits include U2 and the Rolling Stones.Fellow Pop Idol contestants Will and Gareth Gates paid tribute to the singer after his death was announced, describing him as "driven, courageous and gentle".In a heartfelt tribute, Leave Right Now singer Will wrote: "For the past few days my thoughts have been with Darius’s family and will continue to be so."I found this picture a while ago taken during Pop Idol. Ed Sheeran announces intimate London Union Chapel charity gig
Ed Sheeran has announced an intimate one-off concert in London to raise funds for mental health support charity Shout.The ‘=’ singer-songwriter will perform at the 900-capacity Union Chapel in Islington on Tuesday, October 11 as part of the ‘Wellstock x For One Night Only’ event series.Wellstock, an initiative created by Will Young, aims “to build platform to bring mental health awareness to the fore whilst also looking at fundraising and with an overview of acceptance, validation and blowing away the shame that can attach itself to feeling anything other than happy”.Sheeran’s special acoustic show, which will kick off the series, is being put on in support of Shout, the UK’s first and only free, confidential 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope.Fans’ only chance to attend the gig is by entering a charity prize draw and making a voluntary donation of £10 to the ‘For One Night Only’ fund that will be donated to Shout.You can do so by texting “ED” to 84903 (texts will be charged at your standard network rate) or visiting the official ‘FONO’ website to enter online or by post.
