Love Island stars Zara Lackenby-Brown and Tanyel Revan, who featured on the most recent series of the show, have addressed ITV’s decision to make contestants pause their social media accounts while in the villa. Islanders traditionally grow huge followings on platforms such as Instagram while they're in the villa, with their friends and families uploading pictures, memes and encouraging fans to vote. However this year, they were banned from doing so in a bid to stop trolling and minimise the negativity directed their way.

Tanyel Revan and her property developer fiancé Ediz have celebrated their engagement with their nearest and dearest.The former Love Islander and her partner hosted the lavish event at The Ned, London, a luxury five star hotel that boasts " ten restaurants and bars, 250 bedrooms, private event spaces, spa, gym and indoor pool." Amongst the guests, Tanyel was joined by some of her Love Island pals, who she met last year when she appeared on the winter series of the show.This included Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, the former couple who called it quits just three months after their stint in the villa. Throughout the event, the 27 year old kept her 271K followers updated on the antics of the night, which included plenty of dancing and party favours.

Love Island contestants will once again be banned from keeping their social media accounts updated while they are in the villa. In previous series of the show, contestants have had friends, family or PR workers running their Instagram and Twitter accounts - sharing memes or occasionally responding to controversies with statements on their behalf.

Former Love Island stars Zara Lackenby Brown and Tanyel Revan have opened up about unaired villa drama, as they labelled former co-star Olivia Hawkins a "mean girl." The feud between the former islanders was reignited after Zara, 25, and Tanyel, 26, made a TikTok directed at Olivia, 27, after she made comments about Tanyel. Commenting on a TikTok clip of Tanyel on the reunion show, Olivia had commented: "Shame I didn't get to say the real reason why she left [smiling emoji]." And in reaction to this, Zara and Tanyel made a video referencing the fact that Olivia's former flame Kai Fagan had gone on to win the show with Sanam Harrinanan, with whom he had recoupled with following Casa Amor.

There are plenty of Love Island contestants who dream of using the show as a launching pad to get the influencing career of their dreams, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Love Island star Tanyel Revan has revealed a secret feud with islander Olivia Hawkins, which wasn't aired on the show, after her departure from the dating programme. Hair stylist Tanyel, 26, was coupled up with Kai Fagan, 24, until the PE teacher decided he wanted to pursue his feelings for Olivia, 27, by getting to know her better. Tanyel spoke of her thoughts about the situation with Maya Jama, 28, on Aftersun, saying: "I wasn't going to be selfish, I just thought, 'I'd rather you be happy.' She was a good friend to me at the time, so I thought, 'Do your thing.'" When Maya followed up on her "at the time" comment, Tanyel continued: "We don't know yet.

Maya Jama has wowed viewers after debuting a new look during her Love Island return. The TV and radio presenter had a busy weekend as she stepped out at the Brit Awards over the weekend but on Sunday night she was back to the day job on Love Island's Aftersun.
