There are plenty of Love Island contestants who dream of using the show as a launching pad to get the influencing career of their dreams, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

Instead there are plenty of former Islanders who, whether out of choice or necessity, have ended up back at their day jobs after appearing on the show.

And this year’s crop of contestants from the South Africa villa have proved no different. A number of them have already headed back to their previous careers, which is probably no surprise considering ITV placed a social media ban on them throughout their time in the villa.This has left them with far fewer online followers than contestants from years past and unlikely to become the next Molly-Mae Hague.
