Brighton's Enock Mwepu tragically forced to retire aged 24 over heart condition

Brighton & Hove Albion's young star Enock Mwepu has been forced to retire from proffesional football at 24-years-old due to a heart condition.The 24-year-old has been diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition, which put Mwepu at at an extremely high risk of suffering a potentially fatal cardiac event. Mwepu had made six Premier League appearances this season, registering one assist before his retirement.Mwepu was taken ill over the international break when he linked up with the Zambian national side.

Brighton have confirmed Roberto De Zerbi as new manager on a four-year contract subject to a work permit following Graham Potter's move to Chelsea earlier this month.The club state that the 42-year-old agreed terms with the club on Sunday afternoon having met with Tony Bloom, Paul Barber and David Weir in London to discuss the role.Chairman Tony Bloom said: "I am absolutely thrilled Roberto has agreed to become our new head coach.
