Primavera Sound Festival is reportedly set to return as an expanded event in 2022.Following the cancellation of the Barcelona event in 2020 and 2021 due to coronavirus, the festival is apparently set to resume over two weekends, according to Reuters.In this new format, it will reportedly take place on June 2-5 and June 9-12 in 2022, doubling its usual length, and will have around 400 shows across two lineups.NME has contacted a representative for Primavera Sound Festival who said they were “unable to comment” on the reports.This year’s event had been due to take place from June 2-6, with the likes of Tame Impala, The Strokes, Tyler, the Creator, FKA twigs, Charli XCX and Gorillaz all booked to perform.All ticket-holders will have the option

Crowded House has shared a new version of their latest single ‘To The Island’, remixed by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.True to form, Parker’s remix adds a thick layer of psychedelia to the single, warping its vocals and introducing a range of synth sounds.“With all the world upended and nothing in its right place we became curious to hear how our favourite contemporary musicians and record makers might reimagine a Crowded House song,” Neil Finn said in a statement.“I emailed our version of To The Island to Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) with an invitation to take it apart and reassemble in his own unique way.

Tame Impala will perform their debut album ‘Innerspeaker’ in its entirety during an upcoming live-streamed show.The group will continue celebrating the record’s 10th anniversary by playing a special online gig at Wave House, the Western Australia studio where Kevin Parker recorded the LP over 10 years ago.Fans can tune into the broadcast from a choice of three timezones – Australia/New Zealand/Asia, UK/Europe, and North/South America – on April 21. The Streets are back. The UK rap project, led by Mike Skinner, have returned with a new Tame Impala collaboration called “Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better.” It’s the first song to be released from Skinner’s forthcoming mixtape None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive—out July 10 via Island.
