Liverpool pop band, Her's, died in a car crash while on tour in the United States, nearly five years ago.The bandmates, Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laadig, and their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson, were driving to a gig in Santa Ana, California, when they were killed on Wednesday, 27 March 2019. The trio were travelling in a 15-seater tour van before the in a head-on crash.Their vehicle is thought to have hit a Nissan pick-up truck that was allegedly being driven the wrong way down the highway in the early hours of the morning. Stephen, 24, from Barrow-in-Furness and Audun, 25, from Norway died along with Trevor, from Minneapolis and the driver of the pick-up truck.

Cooking Vinyl Publishing has signed a deal covering the songs catalogue of indie-rock duo Her’s, four years after they were killed in a car accident while on tour in the US.The deal has been agreed between Cooking Vinyl, the band’s record label and management company Heist Or Hit, and the families of the two band members, Audun Laading and Stephen Fitzpatrick. Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj in a February 2021 hit-and-run incident has been sentenced to one year in prison.Charles Polevich, 71, struck 64-year-old Maraj while he was walking in the village of Mineola on Long Island, New York.Polevich drove off without calling emergency services and also hid his car. Maraj was taken to a Nassau County hospital where he died.Nassau County police were able to track down Polevich’s vehicle using security footage.  Polevich was arrested and charged three days after the incident.“He’s absolutely aware of what happened,” Nassau Police Homicide Detective Lt.

The judge in the case said Polevich will get no more than a year behind bars. He'll also get community service and have his license suspended.
