Air announce ‘Moon Safari’ 25th anniversary US dates

Air have announced a North American leg of their 2024 25th Anniversary ‘Moon Safari’ tour in celebration of their seminal album.The French duo – comprised of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – will kick off the US tour at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver on September 25. From there, Air will make their way across the US, making stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., New York City and Dallas before wrapping up the tour at the Moody Amphitheatre in Austin on October 30.A ticket pre-sale will be available starting today (March 7) for fans who use the access code KEY.

Air to play classic ‘Moon Safari’ in full for first time at UK and European shows

Air have announced a 2024 UK and European tour that will see the French duo perform their debut album ‘Moon Safari’ in its entirety for the first time.Having celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year, Air will tour their ‘One Night Only’ experience for ‘Moon Safari’ in February and March, which will include a show at London’s Coliseum.The tour – which will be the first time ever the duo have performed the 1998 album live – will kick off at Anitgel at Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland, continuing on to Milan, Vienna, Belgium, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam, before concluding in London.Pre-sale starts this Thursday (November 16) at 10am local time, while general sale goes live Friday (November 17) at 10am local time. ‘Fire of Love’ Composer Nicolas Godin on Another Air Album: ‘The Key Is To Do Something Amazing’

Todd Gilchrist editor Composer Nicolas Godin is part of the creative team responsible for “Fire of Love,” the Oscar-nominated documentary directed by Sara Dosa about volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. As one half of the electronic group Air, he’s no stranger to collaboration: between 1995 and 2016, he and partner Jean-Benoit Dunckel released six albums and two soundtracks that sold millions of copies and earned them worldwide accolades as the downtempo counterparts of French contemporaries like Daft Punk. But even if he and Dunckel haven’t recorded anything completely new together since “Music for Museum,” their work for a 2014 art project at France’s Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, the sound they created lives on just as vividly in their solo work, echoing the lush cinematic aesthetic they first premiered on their debut LP “Moon Safari.”

Air have announced a 20th anniversary edition of their second album, ’10 000Hz Legend’.The French duo – comprised of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – released the original record back in 2001. Following on from their 1998 debut ‘Moon Safari’, it was lauded by NME for its “sheer level of invention”.Now, Air have confirmed that they will celebrate the two-decade milestone by releasing a special version of the album on November 5.
