Air announce ‘Moon Safari’ 25th anniversary US dates

Air have announced a North American leg of their 2024 25th Anniversary ‘Moon Safari’ tour in celebration of their seminal album.The French duo – comprised of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – will kick off the US tour at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver on September 25. From there, Air will make their way across the US, making stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., New York City and Dallas before wrapping up the tour at the Moody Amphitheatre in Austin on October 30.A ticket pre-sale will be available starting today (March 7) for fans who use the access code KEY.

Air have announced a 2024 UK and European tour that will see the French duo perform their debut album ‘Moon Safari’ in its entirety for the first time.Having celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year, Air will tour their ‘One Night Only’ experience for ‘Moon Safari’ in February and March, which will include a show at London’s Coliseum.The tour – which will be the first time ever the duo have performed the 1998 album live – will kick off at Anitgel at Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland, continuing on to Milan, Vienna, Belgium, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam, before concluding in London.Pre-sale starts this Thursday (November 16) at 10am local time, while general sale goes live Friday (November 17) at 10am local time. Todd Gilchrist editor Composer Nicolas Godin is part of the creative team responsible for “Fire of Love,” the Oscar-nominated documentary directed by Sara Dosa about volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. As one half of the electronic group Air, he’s no stranger to collaboration: between 1995 and 2016, he and partner Jean-Benoit Dunckel released six albums and two soundtracks that sold millions of copies and earned them worldwide accolades as the downtempo counterparts of French contemporaries like Daft Punk. But even if he and Dunckel haven’t recorded anything completely new together since “Music for Museum,” their work for a 2014 art project at France’s Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, the sound they created lives on just as vividly in their solo work, echoing the lush cinematic aesthetic they first premiered on their debut LP “Moon Safari.”
